Repairing the Breach - New York
Songs for the Journey
Note: Tickets are still available for tonight's online concert. I will send out the zoom link right several times this afternoon including a last one shortly before the concert begins at 7pm Eastern time.
Come join us for a virtual concert where we will seek to "repair the breaches" - within our nation, our communities, and our families - from the ravages of the virus, racism, fear, and the many breaches that divide us from each other.
This concert is a fund-raiser for Friends Center for Racial Justice, based in Ithaca NY. FCRJ works to overcome the barriers that separate us - building authentic relationship through forgiveness and love that is rooted in faith and justice.
This will be a singalong concert led by Annie Patterson & Peter Blood, the creators of the best-selling songbooks Rise Up Singing and Rise Again.
"Rise Up Singing is the best, most exhilarating and glorious history of the United States: a singing history. It is more than a lovely songbook - it is a play-work-fight-freedom hymnal." - Studs Terkel, author of Working.
Buy a ticket here for an amount you can afford and feel is right for you to give. (Click on the quantity button just to the right or below the ticket price you wish to pay and then on the "buy" button at the bottom of the column.) 100% of all ticket sales for this concert will go to assist FCRJ's important work. (Note: f you make a donation during checkout, then that will go to Annie & Peter to support their work of creating change through music.)
We will email you a Zoom link for the concert around Monday, July 26. We will re-send this zoom link on the day of the concert along with a songsheet that you can sing along with us from home during this concert.
