Ryan is an English folk singer. He is known on the folk scene as a fine singer of traditional & original material. Folk Roots described him as "definitely the most underrated singer in the country". He is the originator of (and always a principal singer with) the series of Folk Operas culminating in The Voyage. He has frequently performed & recorded with Pete Harris. He has also recorded with Paul Downes.
